As part of enhancing academic cooperation and exchange of expertise between academic institutions, a delegation from the College of Administration and Economics at Warith al-Anbiya University, headed by Professor Awad al-Khalidi, visited the College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala to discuss prospects for academic and research cooperation between the two sides.
The delegation was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Salam al-Asadi, Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, and a number of faculty members. During the meeting, they discussed ways of joint coordination in the areas of curriculum development, organizing scientific activities, and exchanging expertise among faculty members.
Professor Awad al-Khalidi emphasized the importance of building effective partnerships between specialized colleges, which would contribute to improving academic performance and expanding the scope of cooperation between Iraqi universities. Professor Ali Abdul-Saadoun Al-Ghazi, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Warith Al-Anbiya, participated in chairing the discussion committee for a master's thesis at the College of Medicine, University of Basra, for researcher Zainab Abdul-Majid Awan. The thesis was titled: "Patient satisfaction with quality of health care services in public hospitals in Basrah city." The discussion took place in the Graduate Studies Hall of the College of Medicine, University of Basra, where the committee consisted of a select group of professors from Iraqi universities. This attendance comes within the framework of scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and to promote the mission of science, knowledge, and community service.

Chaired by Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun, Dean of the College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University, the discussion of the postgraduate diploma thesis, equivalent to a master's degree, was held at the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala. The thesis, titled "Evaluation of Emotional Difficulties among Women Having Had a Miscarriage in Karbala 2024," was held at the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala. The Dean of the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University announced the success of a specialized team of cardiac surgeons who performed advanced open heart surgeries using a minimally invasive lateral thoracotomy technique, without the need to open the sternum.  This procedure was performed by a medical team led by Dr. Jabbar Jassim Al-Tai, a faculty member of the college.  Dr. Al-Tai, a consultant in open heart surgery, explained that these surgeries are considered among the most advanced procedures worldwide, having been pioneered in Europe, and represent a significant advancement in cardiac surgery, offering high precision and excellent results for patients.

Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him) has announced the establishment of five new academic departments, considered the first of their kind in Iraq, after obtaining official approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The University Presidency stated that this step comes in implementation of the directives of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, emphasizing the importance of keeping pace with scientific progress and enhancing the academic reality to meet the needs of the labor market.

They are committed to providing quality medical services to pilgrims commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), in addition to organizing scientific training workshops for our dear students.
In this context, the International Imamate Organization (IMI) held a specialized ultrasound workshop, which addressed the basics of ultrasound imaging and its uses in medical diagnosis. The workshop was supervised by a group of distinguished medical personnel.
These activities aim to enhance students' field experience and hone their practical skills, making them better prepared to serve the community.

A student from the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University successfully completed a one-month medical internship at the Serbian Clinical Center University in Belgrade, Serbia, as part of the International Exchange Program of the Iraqi Medical Students Association (IFMSA).The internship included working in an advanced European medical environment and learning about the healthcare systems there, with a focus on cardiology. The internship also included attending and observing operating rooms and interacting with students and physicians from around the world, providing a valuable opportunity to engage with foreign expertise and broaden medical and cultural horizons.The Deanship of the College of Medicine expresses its pride in the achievements of its students and is committed to supporting them in their academic and professional journeys toward excellence and community service.

In an atmosphere of giving and service, and to ensure their readiness to provide the best medical services in the field during the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, part of a series of training workshops for students of the College of Medicine at the University of the Prophets’ Successor, organized by the International Imamate Organization (IMI), a practical workshop entitled Suturing Skills, presented by Dr. Mudussar from the United States of America.

Amidst the sublime spiritual atmosphere of the immortal Arbaeen pilgrimage, the Deanship of the College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University extends its highest expressions of appreciation, pride, and respect to our dear students participating in the medical service detachments deployed along all pilgrims' routes. We express our deep appreciation for the time, effort, and expertise they have devoted to treating, curing, and alleviating the pain of the honorable pilgrims. Part of the development workshops organized by the International Imamiyya Organization for students of the College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University, peace be upon him. These workshops cover a variety of topics, focusing on developing students' academic and practical skills.These workshops feature lecturers from various nationalities: American, British, Bahraini, Saudi, Indian, and Pakistani. Muhammad Ali Al-Mousawi, a sixth-year student from the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), delivered a Basic Life Support (BLS) first aid training workshop to a group of students from various medical colleges. The workshop was hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports - Scientific Care Department, and attended by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports. The workshop included training participants on the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency response, and was met with great interaction from attendees who praised the level of preparation and presentation.

In an atmosphere of faith and giving, and within the framework of humanitarian and societal responsibility, the medical detachments of the students of the College of Medicine at the University of Warith al-Anbiya, peace be upon him, continue their tireless work to serve the millions of visitors arriving in the holy Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

As part of the university's field monitoring of its efforts to serve Arbaeen pilgrims, the President of Warith al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), Professor Ibrahim Saeed al-Hayawi, inspected one of the medical detachments run by students from the College of Medicine, in cooperation with the International Imamiyya Organization.These detachments provide treatment and emergency services to pilgrims around the clock, with the participation of trained medical and nursing teams, aiming to enhance rapid response to emergency situations.Al-Hayawi emphasized that the students' participation in these efforts represents a practical application of the skills they have acquired and reflects the university's commitment to its societal role in ensuring the success of this humanitarian initiative, as well as providing the best health services to esteemed pilgrims.

As part of the medical detachments' activities to serve pilgrims commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and in cooperation with the International Imamiyya Organization (IMI), a scientific workshop was organized for medical students entitled: "Fluids Management and Electrolytes Disturbance." The workshop was presented by Dr. Ali Abbas Naqavi from the United States of America. He discussed the latest methods in fluid management and the treatment of electrolyte disturbances in the body, with realistic clinical cases presented to enhance students' practical understanding. This event aims to develop medical students' skills and enhance their academic proficiency by providing them with the opportunity to interact directly with international medical expertise, contributing to the preparation of a qualified medical generation to serve the community and honorable pilgrims during the blessed pilgrimage.
