Warith Al-Anbiyaa Hosts President of Al-Hamdaniya for Academic Cooperation

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) in Karbala welcomed Professor Dr. Nashaat Saliwa, President of Al-Hamdaniya University in Mosul. He was received by Professor Dr. Waqid Al-Moussawi, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Professor Dr. Nawfal Al-Araji, Vice President for Administrative Affairs.

The visit aimed to renew and activate the academic cooperation agreement signed between the two universities, with a focus on strengthening partnerships and fostering faculty exchange. It also seeks to advance joint research programmes and create new opportunities for students in training and academic development.

During the meeting, both parties emphasised the importance of building bridges of collaboration among Iraqi universities to enhance educational and research quality in alignment with international academic standards.

This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (SDG4: Quality Education), which calls for inclusive and equitable education and lifelong learning opportunities, as well as Goal 17 (SDG17: Partnerships for the Goals), which promotes collaboration among institutions to achieve sustainable development.

Through this step, the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa reaffirms its commitment to expanding cooperation with Iraqi and international universities, fostering academic and research collaboration that contributes to community service and the advancement of higher education in Iraq.
